Hi, a week ago I was trying to get Episodes 1-5 and could not get them to download or via ITunes. You asked a couple questions and I responded by responding to your emails. I never heard back – it has – finally occurred to me that you may not have received my emai responses – so here they are again

I WAS on the site and did try to download them manually – When I click on Download on Episode 5, an Internet Explorer session pops up and it justs keeps spinning with this address in the links box — http://www.universeofmystery.com/audio/freeshow…

It was still spinning from a half hour before I wrote my notes. I have just ended that session and tried it again after receiving your note – the same process and the same result……

Try disabling any antivirus software you have running and try downloading again. If that doesn't work. Delete the subscription completely from itunes, including all the episodes and then resubscribe. I think I might have figured out what the problem is but I need you to check.

Thanks for the ideas. I disabled the Virus protection, Firewall and Spyware. Download still doesn't work – at least on a practical level. I tried to download the first episode and after a half hour it's still spinning and has only progressed 4 Bars on the Green progress display at the bottom of IE.

I – again – tried Save Target As – and that seems to be working – I have all episodes either 'Saved” or being transferred. They are being saved as music files despite the fact they are going into my Podcast folder. I can work with that but don't know why it's happening.

Going to bed now, work tomorrow – it may take me a while to check out the results, but it seems like this is going to work. Thanks again

Did you try deleting the podcast feed from itunes and then resubscribing? I changed the setting to allow all podcasts to be dowloaded, rather than the last 10. If that doesn't work please let me know and I'll try something else.

If you download the MP3's from the website, they don't show up as podcasts in iTunes unfortunately. I haven't figures out a workaround for this yet. I think that's just how iTunes works. best wayt o handle this is to create a playlist and categorize your downloaded files that way. No, I had not done this. I didn't realize you had control over what ITunes made available. Tonight, I did go into the ITunes store and very easily downloaded episodes 1 thru 5. They dropped very nicely into the Itunes folder with the rest of the episodes. Thank you very much for all the personal attention and effort on your part. We will listen to the book as soon as we take one of our longer car rides to one activity or another. This may be a while as we're going through a travel lull. Mike Thanks again. Great service.
