There was no sound, it was a very quiet night. September 5th 2009 around 9:30. My wife and I were sitting outside in the backyard on a swing relaxing in the cool night. She gasped and said “whats that!” I quickly looked around and we watched silently as what we thought was a plane was going down, it appeared to be on fire. There were 3 distinct balls of flame. I originally thought it was flame. Then the 3 balls separated and vanished or extinguished. Seconds later we observed 5 lights (redish, yellow) moving diagonally across the sky but getting closer to the ground, by this time there were trees partially in our way. We watched through the trees as the lights slowly descended to the ground. At some point the lights went out again and they were gone. We had and still have no idea what we saw. We have looked for other posts, news, anything to explain the lights.

coming down i-75 at 9:30ish looked to my right and saw what i thought to be a shooting star…it was much bigger than anything i'd ever seen before. It was heading straight down a head w/a tail streaming pretty long. Within seconds it split in half and a fiery tail from both and then dissipated. My wife and 10 year old and I thought we had just seen the coolest shooting star ever but all the sudden it came back and was just sitting in the sky. A moment later there appeared as many as 7 other lights (seemed to be orange or fireball like) that appeared in a formation of some type. All of the sudden they all disappeared and then reappeared in a line formation with one of them off to the side. I thought for sure we were watching some kind of a aviation flight pattern maneuvers from Wright Patterson AFB. We lost sight of the display after we went down into a valley on 75.
Called my mother who lives in Lebanon to look out the back door but she did not see anything.

My sister called my mother this morning and said that they were showing stuff on the TV about the same issue. She lives in Middletown.

What did the news state the objects were? Or did they? I cannot find any info online.

I saw the same thing as what is described above. I also have 3 pictures of it with my IPhone. I am a pilot with 1500 flights in high performance fighters and have never seen anything like it.

i saw the same thing to in tripoli, first i thought that it was a plan but she stoped for seconds in the sky she looked like a star but it was much bigger than she Disappeared

I saw some thing simular in uk, norwich, 7/may/2010, made some noise i thought it was a helecopter till i lookked up, it looked like a large triangle with a red light in the middle, was too large for a plane landing or taking of from norwich airport and it was quite low, it was heading towards the car then i turned left when it was right above me, 2-3 seconds later it passed over my head quite fast then came to a sudden stop, i dont know if a plane could turn on the spot 180 degres. i tried to get a closer look it began to move away then vanished, my wife said it went behind a cloud but there was none i looked for it more but didnt see or hear of it again.

At my house my friend and I just saw something in the sky, plain-no, helicopter-no! But what we saw were 3 bright lights in the shape of a triangle! But then the shaped changed and it looked like this- . and connect those and it looked so weird! It moved with extreme speed and got faster as it got
. ' . closer to the ground, but then moved slower as it got farther away! My friend and I both drew a picture of what we saw and they were identical!!!

My friend and I were driving near 741 through Lebanon, Ohio on October 6, 2010, and we saw three bright lights in the sky near the prison. They were in a row, and they were about the size of stadium lights, they were there one minute and the other they were gone. Another of our friends saw it too, and she said it was the second time she sees something like this, the last time she saw it, was in Middletown.
